acceptance- Jesus died on the cross to get rid of our sins, Christians who are suffering can follow his example and accept their pain and offer it to God?

Explain how the bible is used by Christians

A

Christians often use the bible to help them make moral decisions. It contain advise in many different forms

  • specific commandment/ the 10 commandments in Exodus 20/ the two most important are ‘ Love God with all your heart, soul and strength’ and the second one is ‘ love your neighbor as yourself’
  • parables/ guidance on how they should behave/ e.g the story of the good Samaritan teaches people to care for everyone even their enemies
  • general moral principles/ human life is sacred/ people disregard what women should wear to church but place great importance on teachings about life
