GOAL INVESTMENT (the more invested you are, the more
anxious you are)
FOCUS ON PERCEIVED ACCOMPLISHMENT (leads to positive emotion such as optimism and excitement)
FOCUS ON “FAILURE IMPACT PREDICTIONS” LEADS TO WORRY
WHAT IS “FAILURE IMPACT PREDICTIONS”?
Worrying about what all is going to go wrong when they do not achieve their goal.
Example: Weight loss. Clients fret over everything they eat, shopping, and exercise because they are worried about failure.
