  3. Place the boiling tubes into a boiling tube rack

What is the method?

A
  1. Place the sample solution into the boiling tube
  2. Add 1cm^3 of the Benedict’s solution into the boiling tube
  3. Add boiling water to a beaker
  4. Place the boiling tubes into the beaker with the boiling water for 5 minutes
  5. The solution in the boiling tubes will change colour
  6. If it is a positive colour change it will change from blue to brick red
