Q

Glucagon MoA for Hypoglycemia

A
  • Binds to glucagon receptors (G-protein linked) on liver hepatocytes
  • Stimulates Adenylate cyclase → ↑ cAMP → ↑ glycogenolysis/gluconeogenesis

Q

Glucagon MoA for βB/CCB overdose

A
  • Binds to glucagon receptors (G-protein linked) on SA/AV nodes & cardiac myocytes (bypassing β blockade)
  • Stimulates Adenylate cyclase → ↑ cAMP → ↑ calcium release
  • ↑ Inotropy/Chronotropy
