What happens at the sacrament?
It is conferred by the Holy Spirit and the word … toward our benefits.
How is the baptism to be improved by us.
It is improved when we remember our own baptism, when we are tempted, or in observing someone else’s.
In calling to mind our own baptism, we remember not only our experience, but its significance in pointing to what Jesus has accomplished for us, and what benefits he gives to those who believe.
By remembering our own baptism, it renews our trust in Jesus and be reminded that we are engaged to be his.
How does OT sacrament different from the NT
OT sacrament point forward to Christ.
NT sacrament points back to what Christ has done.
