Worth, importance, or usefulness of something to a stakeholder within a context
Context
Circumstances that influence, are influenced by, and provide understanding of the change

Business Analysis Core Concept Model™ (BACCM™)
Describes the relationships among the six core BA concepts
Analyze Current State
. Sets a baseline and context for change
. Understands the business need and how it relates to the way the enterprise functions today
Define Future State
. Defines the goals and objectives to demonstrate the business need has been satisfied
. Defines change needed to meet organizational goals and objectives
Assess Risks
. Understand the uncertainties around the change
. Consider the effect uncertainties may have on the ability to deliver value through a change
. Recommend actions to address risks
Define Change Strategy
. Perform a gap analysis between current & future state
. Assess options for achieving the future state
. Recommend the highest value approach for reaching the future state including any transition states required
Strategy
Most effective way to apply the capabilities of an enterprise to reach a desired set of goals and objective
Strategy Analysis
. Work and collaboration with stakeholders to identify a business need (strategic or tactical),
. Activities to enable change to address that need
. Proposal of high or low level strategies to align the resulting strategy for the change
Validation
Checking whether the specification captures the stakeholder needs
Verification
Checking that the solution meets the specification
View
Requirements / designs for a particular solution from a chosen viewpoint

. Describes tasks the BA performs to obtain information from stakeholders and confirm the results
