Evaluation of PISA Tables
- William states each country organises their education differently, so impossible to say what would work for the UK
- Torrance states PISA isn’t comparable as there are different sample sizes, test and ages involved. Gives an invalid picture
Evaluations of schools running like businesses
- Schools run like businesses- for the benefit of league tables not students
- creates sink schools due to formula funding
- Academics and Free schools can employ unqualified teachers and pay low wages
Marxist view of globalisation
- Globalisation only provides more educational opportunities to the wealthy

- Globalisation allows for private schools and universities to expand around the world
- Globalisation means that governments can play a reduced role in the education system and reduce funding
