Advantages of globalisation
Easier connection of places which means places that felt isolated no longer feel isolated and connected into the global village
Cheaper and Easier trade which allows for introduction of goods from new cultures into a place which may start a sense of excitement to locals
May introduce new industry into an area (improved technology connections) will reduce unemployment and alleviate poverty
Disadvantages of globalisation
Locals may longer not feel at home and may start to feel negatively about the place as changes occur
Increase in clone towns
Large TNCs may drive out local
businesses
places lose their sense of uniqueness
