Poverty
Every country has its own poverty line but the international definition of poverty is less that $1 per day
Citizenship
Being a member of a country or a nation
Scarcity
Not enough of something
Quality of life
How good or bad your life is
Rights
Can be civic, political, cultural. Principles by which we base our societies off of.
Internationalism
An act of doing something the international community outside of your own country. Ie. Humanitarian aid
Succession
The act by which a country leaves another country (ie. Scotland wanted to separate from UK)
Disparity
An emotion: how you feel as a result of not having something
Standard of living
Wealth section of quality of life, what you can afford to buy and have
Eurocentric
Country follows a European perspective, attitude that everyone should be like the Europeans otherwise they are less than them
Westernization
Active conversion of certain countries to a Western way fo life
Equity
Your assets
Equitable assets
How much something could be worth (ie. a house will be worth more in 6 years)
Prosperity
The act of prospering (thriving, success, growth)
Sustainability
Are future generations going to be able to survive based on what we are doing now? How is what we are doing going to impact the future?
