Symbolism
Glass - represents how fragile individuals can be. Also represents a reflection of the characters both for themselves and how society sees them.
Dr. Staple deceives the 3 men by forcing them to believe there are logical reasons for their abilities. Using mental illnesses or cognitive abilities to explain their powers away.
The most influential super power we have is the power of belief. When we believe in someone they can overcome their hardships.
Glass’s mom - never gave up on him, nor did Joseph or Casey with their counterparts.
Dr. Staple - part of a secret society, The Clovers. Symbol for luck but ironic because they are making their own luck by taking out those who are seen as powerful as Gods. They argue that they can’t have Gods walking among men. It creates a divide between those who have and have not. Also ironic because they are doing what they are trying to eliminate. By taking out these heroes, the Clovers become the strongest force in society.
Colours - David Dunn wears blue, a typical good guy colour. Kevin wears yellow, a v ery nuetral colour. Elijah wears purple, the stereotypical villian colour (emphasized when Joseph is looking through comics and the villian side was illuminated in purple).
