Glasgow coma scale include 3 areas of testing and they are
E.V.M. eye verbal and motor
The eye section for response are graded by how many levels and what are they? and what does a C stand for?
4 levels+ 1,2,3,4. 1-No response, 2-to pain, 3-to speech, 4-to spontaneously and you record a C for eyelids shut due to swelling
what are the 6 levels of the motor response
6 levels 1 is no response 2 is extension-abnormal 3 is flexion abnormal 4 is flexion withdrawal 5 is localizes pain 6 obeys verbal command
what are and how mnay verbal responses are there? and what is an ‘E’ or a ‘T’ marked for?
5 levels of response 1 is NO response 2 is sounds-incomprehensible-MUMBLES 3 is speech INNAPROPRIATE 4 is conversation is CONFUSED 5 is Oriented x 3 Record an E if Endotracheal tube is IN place and a T if Tracheostomy tube in place

3-15 15 is normal and impossible to get a ‘0’
