Q

How has different resistant geology impacted Snowdonia?

A
  • 5m high igneous rock shaped into the Maes Caradoc Roche montonées.
  • Morraine is primarily sedimentary rock as it has low resistance.
  • Great Orme region has erratics with rock from South West Harlech.
  • Gorges due to less resistant rock to erosional force of upland meltwater
  • Cwm Idwal, nivation and rotational slip steepening the back wall.
