Retrieval times for Glacier are slow, in the hours. If you need data faster, how can you do this?
AWS provides a paid service for retrieving files faster. You essentially pay more for the faster response time that is in the minutes instead of hours.
How is access provided to Glacier Vaults?

What is an archive?
A collection of files that are in a compressed state. Archives are immutable. They must be deleted or overwritten to change them.
What is the max size of a Glacier archive?
40TB
What is a Glacier Vault Lock?
It enforces rules like no deletes or MFA delete
It is immutable. Meaning it can’t be changed. You must delete or overwrite it.
Not an access policy.
How are vault locks applied?
When you attach a lock to a Glacier Vault, you have 24 hours to confirm it is working as required. If you don’t complete the Vault Lock, the lock is aborted.
