What is frost shattering
A
1.Water enters cracks in rocks
2. Water freezes and expands and widens he crack
3. Process is repeated until crack gets bigger and rock abreaks off

What is abrasion
A
Occurs when stones are picked up by glacier and scrapes the sides and leaves grooves in rock. Called smooth polish. These show direction of the avalanche
