A
Pain, Abdominal distension, Nausea & vomiting Dysphagia Dyspepsia (heartburn/ indigestion), hiatus hernia, peptic ulcers History of gallstones or previous pancreatitis Diarrhoea/ constipation Jaundice Continence Haematemesis/ rectal bleeding Mucus or slime per rectum Appetite Weight change Continence

How would pain associated with peptic ulcer typically present
A
Epigastric,
Gnawing pain with remissions
Radiating to the back
Can lead to haemorrhage or peritonitis if perforates
Exacerbating factors= irregular meals, smoking, aspirin, NSAIDS, alcohol
Alleviated by antacids and food
mild to moderate pain
