A

Unwanted effects of medications or “side effects” More common in older adults May be mistaken for normal aging or new medical conditions Can occur when first starting a new medication or after taking medication for a long time ADRS are the cause of 30% hospital admissions, 5% of deaths; linked with falls, depression, constipation and confusion.
