What was the Nazi Party?
An extreme group led by Adolf Hitler. The group decided to use crisis as opportunity to overthrow Stresemann’s government.

Germany gaining economic and political stability under Stresemann.
What occurred in 1929?
Depression
Trade declined, unemployment rose to 6 million
This allowed Nazi Party to gain support

When did Hitler become Fuhrer (leader) of Germany?

Nazis then moved to create a totalitarian dictatorship to prevent future opposition.
Why did Hitler place high importance on German youth?
He believed them to be the future of Third Reich and so must be taught obedience and loyalty. Hitler infiltrated the education system, focuses the curriculum on greatness of Hitler and Germany. Children were also exposed to propaganda and forced to join groups like the Hitler Youth.
What were reasons for WWII?
German aggression and expansion, Japanese aggression and expansion, treaty of Versailles, Loss of colonies, military restriction and land losses.
What was the ideology of the Nazi Party?
Fascism. Rescue Germany from the disgrace of the Treaty of Versailles, weak democratic leadership and threat of communism
What is Anti-Semitism and how long did it last in Nazi Germany?
Hatred of the Jewish people. From 1933-1945 Hitler introduced 45 laws against Jews such as Nuremberg Laws 1935 which forbade marriage and sexual interaction between Jews and non-Jews and forbade Germans to work for Jews and removed Jewish citizenry.
