It was created out of revolution

Shattered, angry, dissappointed in Germany.

Before 1880, Germany was mostly agricultural economy
Became more industrialised economy
Meaning more urbanisation
Socialism
Idea that workers and ordinary people should have more rights, power and welfare
Power in Germany was in the hands of:

Conservative elite
