What agreement did Stresemann make in 1924 that gave the German economy a boost?
The Dawes Plan-He negotiated that America loaned 800 million marks to Germany to invest in industry and commerce.
How did Stresemann deal with the old worthless money?
He got rid of the old money and introduced the Rentenmark in October 1923. This was tightly controlled so as to stabilise the value of German money. This was replaced by the Reichsmark a year later.
How did Stresemann get the French out of the Ruhr?
He called off the passive resistance and promised to start paying the reparation again.
What were the Locarno Treaties?
In 1925, Stresemann signed the Locarno Treaties with Britain, France and Italy. This was a promise that Germany would stick to its borders set out by the Treaty of Versailles.

Farming suffered, farmworkers earnings by 1929 were half the national average. There was still a massive problem with unemployment. Many employers complained about the high taxes. There was also still extremes of wealth and poverty in Germany.

It rebuilt Germany based on American loans. If America needed the money, then they would make Germany pay them back.

It flourished. Berlin challenged Paris as the cultural capital of Europe.
