They hated it because they felt it was too harsh- Germany had to pay large amount of money to the winners
The treaty took away large areas of land which meant losing people and factories

Many Germans felt they had not lost the war instead Germany’s new politicians had betrayed the country
Some Germans including soldiers thought they could of carried on but it was betrayed by the politicians who ended the war

People with bank savings some people had saved there whole lives but by 1923 what they had couldn’t even get them a load of breadb
Elderly people on fixed pensions found there income would no longer buy them what they need
