Geometry Flashcards
What is the area for a Circle?

What is the Circumference of a Circle?

Inscribed Angle

An inscribed angle is one in which the two lines forming the angle intersect exactly on a circle. the measure of the intercepted arc is exactly twice the meseare of the inscribed angle

What is Chord?
A line segment that connects two points on the circumfeence of the circle.
It can be the diameter
(e.g. Chod AC)

What is a central Angle?

a central angle is one in which the two lines forming the angle intersect exactly at the center (c) of a circle. The measure of the intercepted acr is exactly the same as the measure of the central angle.

Circle Ratios
Central Angle/360 = Sector Area/Circle Area = Mirror acr/Circumference
What is a Tangent?
A tangent is a straight line that touches a curve at a point. It is perpendicular to the radius of a circle.
It forms a 90 degree angle

What is the volume of Cylnder?

What is the volume for a Box

What is the surface for a box?

What is the surface of Cube?

What is the volume of a Cube?

What is the longest rod you can fit inside a box?
Formula
(Longest rod)2 = L2 + W2 + H2
Right Triangle
Has a 90-degree “right” Angle

What is Isosceles Triangle
- Has two equal sides
- The angles opposite the equal sides are equal

What is an Equilateral Triangle?
- All three sides are equal
- All three angles equal 60 degrees

What are the Triangles Rules
- The sum of the angles is 180 degrees
- In a given triangle, the longes side is the opposite of the lagest angle, and the shortest side is the opposite of the smallest angle.
- The area of a triangle is 1/2 the base times the height.
What is the area of a Triangle?

What is the Pythagorean Theorem?

What is the area for squar?
S2
or
1/2 (digonal)2
