More than one
Quadrilateral
A closed plane shape with 4 sides and 4 angles
Trapezoid
At least one pair of opposite parallel sides
Parallelogram
2 pairs of opposite parallel sides
Rhombus
4 equal side lengths
Quadrilateral
4 sides
Pentagon
5 sides

Irregular Polygons
Have sides of different lengths and angles of different measures.
Apothem
A line from the center of a regular polygon to any of its sides at a RIGHT ANGLE
Perimeter formula example
P= l+w•2
Steps to find the area of an irregular polygon
1 break it down into smaller shapes. 2 find the area of those shapes 3 add the areas of these figures to find the total area of the original polygon.
Area formula for a rectangle
A=l•w
Area Formula for a Triangle
A= 1/2•b•h
What are the coordinates of a circle labeled? What do they mean? What axis do they belong to?
h,k. Meaning horizontal shift from the origin along the x-axis. And k represents the vertical shift along the y-axis.
What direction do the y-axis and the x-axis go?
Y- Vertical. X- Horizontal
Formula for the perimeter of a circle aka the circumference?
P=pi•d OR C=2•pi•r
Diameter of a circle?
Line that dissects a circle evenly, of course crossing through the center.
Radius?
A line that touches both the center and the circumference. Half of a diameter.
