‘Intervening obstacles’ is a term used for obstacles that migrants may endure on their way to a different country; such as terrain/sea/migrant offices etc.

Where migrants work in a different country and then send some money back to their home country to their families
How can migrant remittances cause growth of a county of origin?
When the money gets sent back home from where the migrant worked/s the people who received it would spend it on creating a business or buying food/water etc. in which then it would cause them to be taxed
How can migrant remittances cause growth in host destinations?
If the families who received migrant remittances start a business the tax they would pay to the government would then help the countries economy in the long term (Pay tax)
How can migrant remittances cause inequalities in the country of origin
Other families may not have the luxury of receiving migrant remittances therefore they may still struggle with buying food/water etc.
