What is scale about

A

It is about size. Distances on maps are an exact number of times smaller that the real distances on the land. Each map has a different scale. For example. A map might be 10 x smaller than the real distance and another map might be 1000 x smaller than the real distance.

A

It tells us the length of real distance on the ground. The line at the bottom of the map shows you the map scale
