What is the difference between weather and climate
Weather is the condition of the at a particular atmosphere at a particular place and time
Climate is the average condition of the atmosphere of a specific place over a long period of time, usually 30 years
Elements of weather
Temperature, relative humidity, clouds, rainfall, air pressure and wind
Factors influencing the temperature of locations
Latitude, altitude, distance from sea and cloud cover
Latitude definition
The distance of any point on the earth measured north or south from the equator (they are imaginary horizontal lines)
Why latitude is the most important factor affecting temperature
The sun rays strike various parts of the world at different angles
What happens when the solar angle is higher
The sun rays will be more concentrated on the area
