The study of the location and distribution land features and living things on the earth’s surface.

What do geographers do?
The organize their wrk by focusing on spatial areas instead of tie periods, they look for similarities and differences to help them grow places into regions.
What are the types of geography?
Physical geography and human geography.
What is physical geography?
The study of earth’s natural features.
What is human geography?
The study of human activities as they relate on earth.
What is a location?
The place o position where something exits on earth.
What is absolute location?
The exact spot on earth where something exists.
What is latitude?
Runs east to west.
What is longitude?
Runs north to south.
What is the equator?
Latitude line that divides the earth into Northern and Southern hemispheres.
What is the prime meridian?
Longitude line that divides the earth into Eastern and Western Hemisphere.
What are political boundaries?
The dividing line that separates neighboring areas controlled by different governments.
What types are shown on a political map?
The lines between countries, states/provinces, counties, and cities.
What is a region?
A group of nearby places that share certain characteristics.
