It is in Northern Palestine, serving as a body of fresh water and source of livelihood to many fisherman (Peter, Andrew, John). It was the place of many of Jesus’ public discourses and miracles.

It is a village about five miles south of Jerusalem, the birthplace of David (and where he was anointed by Samuel), and the prophecized place of the Messiah’s birth (Micah 5:2)

A town in Lower Galilee above the Plain of Esdraelon where Jesus spent his youth and began his ministry.
