Compass
A small piece of equipment that helps you find direction.
The pointer always points towards North.
Continent
One of Earth’s great land masses; there are seven continents.
Contour line
A line on a map joining places that are the same height about sea level.
Country
A nation with its own land and own government. Continents are divided into countries.
Economic
To do business , money and jobs.
Environment
To do with our surroundings and how we look after them (air , rivers, wildlife ) .

The study of how we affect our surroundings e.g pollution, protecting animal species.

The study of the Earth , it’s physical features and how humans affect it.

A set of numbers or letters that tells you where to find something on a map

a group of people who are in charge of a country or state
