What is a plateau?
An area of highland, usually consisting of flat terrain.
What is a mountian?
A large land form that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak.
What is a Mesa?
An elevated area of land with a flat top an dudes that are usually steep.
What is a desert?
Landscape or region that is very dry because of low rain fall amounts. Often has no plants or streams.
What is a bay?
A large body of water connected to an ocean or sea enclosed by land.
What Is a flood plain?
An area of land adjacent to a stream or river. Experiences flooding
What is a costal plain?
Flat, low lying land adjacent to a sea coast.
What is a peninsula?
A price of land that is borders with water on either side but connected to main land.
What is a harbor?
A body of water where ships, boats, and barges cans dock. Surrounded by several sides of land.
What is a valley?
A depression between uplands, hills, or mountains.
What is a strait?
A narrow passage of water connecting two agree bodies of water.
What is a swamp?
Tract of wet, spongy land often having growth of trees and other types of vegetation.
What is a isthmus?
Narrow strip of land connecting two larger bodies of land.
