Weather
The state of the atmosphere; changes everyday.
Climate
The average weather in a place
Frontal rainfall
When two air masses meet, one hot and one cold. The hot air mass rises over the cold one.
Relief rainfall
Air is forced to rise over high land. Air descends, warms and becomes drier. Air cools and condenses, forming clouds and therefore, rain.
WELL DONE FLOZZZZ!!!! <3
I SAID WELL DONE <33
Conventional rainfall
The heated ground warms the air and forces it to rise.
Equator
The equator is very hot and rainy, it rains lot in the centre of Africa near the equator.
Where is it the coldest? ( IRRELEVANT)
Colder on high land and up a mountain the temperature falls. It is colder in the north because it is the furthest from the equator.
Climate graph
Temperature is always plotted on a line graph whilst rainfall is always plotted on a bar graph
Weather station
A place where people can measure the weather by using instruments. to collect elements of the weather, they are kept in a special area, the weather station. <3
What you can measure
Temperature, rainfall, wind direction, air pressure, sunshine, wind speed.
Anthermometer
A delicate thing and often be kept in a box called a stevenson screen and is used to measures wind speed in mph.
YAYAYAYAY ALMOST THERE
Sorry not quite there yet! <3
Wind direction
This is measured by a wind vane or wind stock by pointing towards north, east, south or west.
Air masses
Blocks of air that come from other pats of the world, and impact climate wherever they go.
LAST ONE WELL FOR ME ANYWAY Latitude <3333333
The further north you travel, the cooler it gets.
