A

More food demands –> more land needed for agriculture
Deforestation will lead to further impacts like soil erosion, loss of wildlife sites and reduced biodiversity in wild species. Agriculture activites also lead to overuse of pesticides that may pollute nearby rivers

Q

impacts of social impact of unsafe working environment

A

workers in factories endure long working hours, seven days a week without an employment contract just to earn money. Due to high demand, they need to produce new and low costing clothes quickly. Factories are set up in buildings with poor electricity wiring, insufficient number of exits, little firefighting equipment. There are many disasters such as this, including the Ali Enterprises fire in Sept 2012, Rana Plaza building collapse in Dhaka , Bangladesh in April
