Camano Island
Extends between port Susan and Saratoga pass. Is irregular in shape and 14nm long. The south portion consists of long narrow tongue that terminates at Camano head. North end separated from mainland by sloughs and stillaguamish river. All dry at low water. On the shores of the island there are several resorts and residential houses.
Port Susan
On the east side of Camano island, extends about 11nm in a NW direction terminating in flats which bare.
Saratoga passage
On the west side of Camano Island. Extends some 18nm in a NW direction from entrance between Sandy pt and Camano head. At its N end it connects with Penn cove and crescent Hrb. Depths in passage are from 100fa at the entrance to 15fa at crescent Hrb entrance
Langley
Small town on whidbey island. Has small marina, stores and lodging
East point
East of rocky pt. On whidbey island. Low sand spit about 300yds long and marked by a light
Elger bay
On the west shore of Camano is across Saratoga pass from east pt. Is an open night 1nm wide
Holmes harbor
Entrance is west side of rocky pt. Extends 5nm south indenting whidbey island. Mostly private piers on shore except for gravel wharf and large private boat house. Shipyard in freeland
Rocky pt
East entrance to homes Hrb is low but rises abruptly to 500’
Green bank
Small farming settlement in the west side of Holmes Hrb. It has a store and service station
Onamac pt
.8nm north of Camano. Is marked by a light and a fish haven is NW of pt
Penn cove
Indents the west shore of whidbey island at the head of Saratoga pass. 3.5nm long
Snatelum pt
South point at entrance to Penn cove. Is a narrow spit extending north .5nm and is marked by a buoy
Blower bluff
North point at entrance to Penn cove Is bare,light colored high and rounding. Rocks lie 200yds offshore in places
Oak harbor
Indents north shore of Saratoga pass just west of crescent Hrb. Semicircular cove about 1nm diameter. A foul area with several rocks awash extends .5nm SE. has boat haven. Entrance marked by lights and buoys
Crescent Hrb
Just east of oak Hrb. Semicircular bight 2.5nm in diameter. Has large navy pier extending from west side, part of air station whidbey
