A story using made-up
characters that could
happen in real-life.
poetry
This genre is written to
create thought and
feeling from a reader.
It often uses rhyme
and rhythm to show its
meaning.
informational
Texts that provide
information about a
variety of topics (such
as animals, sports,
science, history,
weather).
