Traits of characteristics
Hair color, eye color, or height

What is the phenotype ratio?
3:1 (dominate:recessive)
How many sets are instructions are there?
2
Where do they come from each?
One from each parent
Gene
A set of instruction, and the instructions are for making proteins
Alleles
Different forms the sets of instructions come in
Heterozygous
when two alleles are different. (Rr, Ll, Mm)
Homozygous Dominant
When the two alleles are both capital letters.
Homozygous Recessive
When the two alleles are both lowercase letters.
Dominant alleles
Capital letter (RR, LL, MM)
Recessive alleles
Lower case letters (rr, ll, mm)
genotype
The inherited combination of alleles (Rr, RR, or rr)
