Q

What does it mean that DNA Molecules are “double stranded”

A

It means that opposite each base, there is a bit flipped version of that base. A pairs with T and C pairs with G. During replication of dna, the helix is split and a new copy can be created to match the two halves that were created.

Q

What is the translation process? Where does translation take place?

A

Its when the mRNA produced during transcription is translated into forming a sequence of amino acids. The combination of different types of amino acids results in new proteins being formed.
