the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language.
epic poem
a long narrative poem telling of a character’s (hero’s) deeds
sonnet
a poem of fourteen lines using any of a number of formal rhyme schemes, in English typically having ten syllables per line.
lyric poem
a formal type of poetry which expresses personal emotions or feelings, typically spoken in the first person
ballad
a poem or song narrating a story in short stanzas
epigram
a short poem, especially a satirical one, having a witty or ingenious ending.
satire
a literary work that criticizes human misconduct and ridicules vices, stupidities, and follies.
tone
attitude a writer takes toward the audience, a subject, or a character
mood
a temporary state of mind or feeling.
