Homicide definition
The killing of one person by another (intentional or unintentional)
Manslaughter
The crime of killing another human without malice aforethought or in circumstances not amounting to murder
Provocation
When a person is considered to have committed a criminal act partly bc of a set of preceding events that might cause a reasonable individual to lose self control. This makes them less morally culpable than if the act was premeditated and done out of pure malice.
Reform
Make changes in (something, especially an institution or practice) in order to improve it

Meaning 1 - the action or process of reforming an institution or practice
Meaning 2 - The modernization of the law by bringing it into accord with current conditions, eliminating defects in the law, simplification of it and the adoption of new or more effective method for the administration of the law and the dispensation of justice.
Defence Partial
mostly enacted with the partial defence of provocation, intending for the defendant’s case to fall under manslaughter rather than murder.
Complete defences
Complete defences refer to the inability of the prosecution to prove any of the elements of murder, allowing the accused to be acquitted and overall not guilty.
