What would you hope a policy maker would do with this research?

Answer 1

• reduction in stigma over last decade - great; now a blurry public conception of mental health, often homogenous
• talk a lot at jack,org about palatable and non-palatable mental illnesses - still stigma, just in pockets, and overshadowed with messages of newfound acceptance
• one size fits all approaches do not help those with specialized / severe needs
• hope this research bolsters conversations to appreciate the diversity of mh needs
• in implementation? hope folks in IYS look at where they’ve succeeded and where gaps remain. hope they remember their cause of increasing access for all, and don’t move toward excluding those with needs currently not well met (i.e. saying IYS aren’t for substance use).
• create a 2.0 version
