Reasons to Donk Bet (2)
1) Equity Denial (bet when we have EQ advantage).
2) Extract value from our equity or nut advantage.
Reason to Slowplay (4)
Reasons for Action:
1) Keep X range strong.
2) Blocking Opponent calling range.
3) Have close to 100% equity vs calling range (let V catchup, reverse implied odds).
4) SPR is small, don’t need to raise to get stacks in
Set Heuristics (Top, Middle, Bottom)
Top - bet small (blocking Opponent bet/raise range)
Middle - Slowplay. Let Opponent bet or catch 2p.
Bottom - Fastplay. Most Vulnerable and unblocks calls.
Reasons to Fastplay (4)
1) We have a hand that unblocks V calling range
2) Deny equity vs V folding range that has equity vs our hand
3) Get value from hands now that won’t call later (e.g. weak middle pair)
4) Guarantee pot is built (e.g. we are IP vs passive V who is unlikely to bluff without improving but may call)
Linear 3 bets OOP generally use this sizing (Large/Small)
Small
Polar 3 bets OOP generally use this sizing (Large/Small)
Large
3 Bet Pot OOP: In High SPR situations, do we check more or less when the nuts can change easily on a board?
We check more to realize equity at showdown on bad cards.
River Raising: If Opponent bets small, can we raise more or less often?
We raise more often.
River Raising: An overcard or nut-changing card hits the river, do we bluff more or less often?
More often to attack 1p holdings. Better to pick hands w/ good blockers (e.g. As on sssxx board)
Define: VPIP
Voluntary put in pot - tracks the percentage of hands in which a particular player voluntarily puts money into the pot preflop.
Define: PFR
Preflop Raise - PFR tracks the percentage of hands in which a particular player makes a preflop raise when having the opportunity to fold or call instead. This includes reraises.

Metric: Donk Flop %
How often Opponent leads flop into initial raiser.

25-40 (medium) Substantial donk range, look at fold to F Cbet to see how strong a range he checks
40-60 (high) Donks alot of hands, must be weak ones too
60-80 (vhigh) Donks air, hero defends wider

Theory: In UTG, should you play tighter in a 9-handed game, 6-handed, or play the same?
Tighter 9-handed since you have more players left to act behind you.
Theory: In BTN, should you play tighter in a 9-handed game, 6-handed, or play the same?
It’s the same since the BTN only has the blinds to act behind in both scenarios.

Which pocket pair has the most equity vs AA?
88 (19.538%)
Theory: Why are OOP 3bets bigger then IP?
1) To give a worse price and increase fold equity
2) Increase SPR to minimize positional advantage
Theory: With larger stacks, do you 3bet more or less often?
More often
Theory: V is a loose opener that folds to 3bets frequently, do we 3bet more bluff or value heavy?
Bluff heavy
Theory: V is a loose opener that calls 3bets frequently, do we 3bet more bluff or value heavy?
Value heavy
Theory: V is a tight opener with a high fold to 3bet, do we 3bet more bluff or value heavy?
Bluff heavy with extra importance on blockers.
Theory: V is a tight opener with a low fold to 3bet, do we 3bet more bluff or value heavy?
Tight strong 3bet range
What should general bluff/value ratios be?
50/50 IP, 60/40 OOP
Theory: Are 3bet ranges wider 100bb deep or 30bb deep?
30bb deep because both ranges are wider and there are more dominating hands to fold out.
30bb 3bet hand selection: Do we use ‘good’ calling hands? Why or why not? (QJs, K9s, A5s)
No because we lose a ton of value when we get 4bet to have to call/fold. We also have a wide range of hands to draw bluffs from and should use those.
Define: What is a squeeze?
3betting vs more than one opponent
Key Factors to consider for a squeeze (5)
1) Opener RFI %
2) Caller’s Cold Call %
3) Sizing
4) Stack sizes
5) Players left to act
When facing cold-callers how should we adjust our range vs. regs who call too much? Vs a rec who calls too much?
Vs reg: Add bluffs, he is likely to fold 76ss type hands vs a squeeze.
Vs rec: Expand value, he will call with worse.
How should we adjust our squeeze range vs the following: Openraiser too wide + reg who calls too wide.
Expand bluff range
How should we adjust our squeeze range vs the following: Openraiser standard + loose rec calls
Widen value range
How should we adjust our squeeze range vs the following: Openraiser standard + good reg calls
Value range + 30-40% bluffs
How should we adjust our squeeze range vs the following: Openraiser tight + tight caller
Tighten range, few bluffs
