implying is suggesting an idea in an indirect way, inference is concluding an idea by deducing the evidence available

what are context clues?
hints found within a sentence that helps deduce what an unfamiliar word means
types of context clues:
example, definition, sentence before, sentence after, synonym, antonym or helping words
describe mood and tone (and their difference)
mood is how the audience is et to feel while tone is the author’s attitude towards the audience, subject or character
how do you show tone? give examples of tones
dialogue and/or descriptions (word choice), friendly, formal, informal, serious, angry, critical, gloomy, humorous, ironic
how do you show mood? give examples of moods
setting and atmosphere, suspenseful, tense, eerie, ridiculous, peaceful, welcoming, calm
