Business or Residential District
Any place where most of the land along the road for 300 feet or more is used for houses or places of business
Computerized exam

Driving Exam
a practical test you must pass as one of the requirements for a Mississippi Driver’s license; also known as the “road test”
Highway
every place of travel including the streets on municipalities
Intersection
The place where roads come together or cross. Sidewalk crossings/crosswalks are included as part of the intersection
Motor vehicle
an automobile, motorcycle, or another kind of vehicle (except on rails) which is run by an engine or motor in the vehicle itself
Non-resident
Anyone who does not live in the state of Mississippi
Operator
Anyone who is actively driving the vehicle
Right-Of-Way
The privilege of the immediate use of the highway
School Bus
every vehicle owned by a public or governmental agency, or privately owned and operated for compensation, for the transportation of children to and from school
Stop
Complete cessation of movement
Traffic
Pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, streetcars, and other conveyances, either singularly or together, while using any highway for the purpose of travel
What two types of brakes must your vehicle have?
A foot brake and a hand brake
What are the stipulations on each type of brake?
Foot Brake: Must be strong enough to stop the vehicle from 30 feet at 20 mph
Hand Brake: Must be strong enough to stop the vehicle at 55 feet at 20 mph
How far away must your horn be able to be heard?
200 feet
