Energy Act 2023
Climate Change Act 2008 - updated in 2019 to legally commit the UK to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Commercial properties are expected to contribute by improving energy efficiency, retrofitting older buildings, and adopting renewable energy sources.
Environmental Act 2021 - act is central to improving air quality, biodiversity, water resources, and waste reduction
The Building Regulations 2010 (Part L) - focuses on the conservation of fuel and power

- sets out government’s planning policies for England
