What grades will be earned for meeting or exceeding the timed standards?
Fail (Did not meet expected time) - 0
Meets expected time - 80
Exceeds expected time by 60 seconds or more - 90
Exceeds expected time by 120 seconds or more - 100

Absent without leave, which includes unexcused absences and absences without proper notification and subjects you to discharge
Key points of academy hallway behavior
Be quiet and respectful. Walk on the side opposite of the LODD pictures and never turn your back on the pictures.
What time will you report for class or drills after morning PT?
0930
When will you not be expected to run at a double time pace?
While wearing: PPE Class A Uniform Carrying heavy equipment or tools Carrying sharp objects or tools
What are the titles of the positions in an apparatus?
#1 position - company officer #2 position - driver #3 position - plug, behind driver #4 position - nozzle
What is the proper attire for morning PT?
Navy blue cotton shorts or sweatpants and t-shirt and/or sweat shirt
Running shoes
White socks
Must all be matching
What are men’s hair requirements, including facial hair.
Hair may not extend past the ears or be 1” off the head
Back of the neck will be trimmed and shaved
Hair will not touch or extend over the shirt collar
No facial hair allowed, must be clean shaven every day
What are women’s hair requirements
Hair will not touch the shoulders when standing
Hair will not extend more than 2” from the head
If hair is pinned up, must not interfere with straps or related equipment of SCBA or helmet
What jewelry is allowed?
Same for men and women. Only: wedding ring watch medical alert bracelet religious medallion (worn out of sight)
What are some key automatic dismissals?
Scoring less than 75 on academy final
Failing 4 major exams
Failing 3 evaluation periods
Accumulation of 25 demerits
How many demerits for any uniform infraction?
