SGA (small for gest age)
IUGR
Low birth weight <2500grams
Very low birth weight < 1500grams
How is IUGR defined?
Wt <10th percentile for gest age + abdominal circumference <2.5th percentile
Has to be <2500grams
30% of IUGR is pathologic
Which strep species causes GBS?
Strep agalactiae
What are the two types of GBS?
Early (1st week): sepsis | pnuemonia | meningitis
Late: Meningitis more common
What antibiotics can be used for GBS?
Gentamicin
