One of the General Orders which means that a guard must NOT abandon his
post if NOT relieved at the expiration of his tour of duty.
To quit my post only when properly relieved.
The following are some of the interior guards general orders EXCEPT for one:
a. To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder
b. To quit my post only when properly relieved
c. To report all calls from post more distant from the guardhouse than
my own
d. To take charge of this post and all government property in view.
These are eleven (11) fundamental responsibilities that interior guards are
required to memorize, understand, and comply in the actual performance of his duty
while on a particular post.
General Orders
An individual who provides strategic direction to the Armed Forces of the
Philippines through the Secretary of National Defense and likewise exercises
command of the AFP through the Chief of Staff, AFP.
President of the Philippines
It is the hierarchy of authority where those at the top of the organization direct
and control the activities of the members.
Chain of Command
It is the legitimate power of leaders to direct subordinates or to take action
within the scope of their position.
Authority
In NCO Education System, it pertains to career training to prepare an enlisted
personnel for duty assignments of a Corporal and Sergeant.
Basic NCO Course
It refers to the maximum number of years that an individual can remain in a
specific grade.
Tenure-In-Grade
They are the “Backbone of the Army” whose duty is to train, lead and take
care of enlisted soldiers.
Non-Commissioned Officers
An individual who commands the AFP and acts as the principal military
adviser to the President.
Chief of Staff, AFP
A small unit leader who is responsible in providing sustained automatic fire for
the squad and secures the flank area of the squad during movements and halts.
Automatic Rifleman
These are the two (2) basic responsibilities of a leader.
Mission Accomplishment and Morale of Men
It is the art of influencing and directing men to obtain their willing obedience,
confidence, respect, loyalty and cooperation to accomplish the mission.
Leadership
It is the state of order and obedience existing within the Command.
Military Discipline
A fighting leader who leads by personal example, helps the squad leader as
required and serve as “scout” or “eyes and ears” of the team.
