Mechanical transfer
When energy is transferred due to a force being applied.
System
A collection of objects (components) that can interact with each other.
The Conservation of Energy
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred from one form of energy to another.
Energy Input = Energy Output
Wasted Energy
It is eventually dissipated into the surroundings. The wasted energy becomes increasingly less useful as it is spread out and diluted.
Efficiency
It is a measure of how good a device is at changing energy from one form to another.
Electrical Energy
An energy transfer due to electric current.
Power
The rate of energy transferred, measured in Watts or Kilowatts.
Kinetic Energy
The energy an object has because it is moving.
