What score should be used to formally assess Frailty in an individual?
PRISMA-7
→ Composed of seven questions that enquire about age, sex, health problems, help at home, mobility and social support.
→ If the respondent answers ‘yes’ on 3 or more questions, this indicates an increased risk of frailty and the need for further clinical review
Define Frailty
a state of impaired homeostasis leading to increased vulnerability to minor stressor events
What is the FRAX score?
a risk assessment tool developed by WHO that calculates a patient’s 10-year risk of developing an osteoporosis-related fracture
