At all times, remain, non threatening and pleasant as much as possible and time allowing. If no time, I will give my input in 3 stages. 1) Captain, I think…. 2) Captain, we need to consider 3) Strongly, Captain we need to….

Tell them about FO incapacitation
I diverted to Manila
FO had a cyst in her ovary, I would learn later on
What I learned was how professional my cabin crew were and a great resource at the time. They ended up helping me skip a long procedure since they already found a doctor. Their Situational Awareness was very high.
What is the hardest thing I had to do while flying?
Tell them about Puerto Princessa, during a circling approach, performed a go around because we forgot to do the checklist at below 500’, with runway clearly in sight. We followed the company SOP, the need to be fully stabilized by 500’ for a Circling Approach.
When was the last time I put the aircraft in danger?
When we needed to go through weather. I minimize the danger by using the weather radar, keeping co pilot in the loop, using the autopilot, checking my pitch and thrust settings in the event of of Unreliable Speed indications and prepare by briefing the Unreliable Speed procedure before entering weather.
The last several weather I entered, was in Vietnam, early last year. Since weather is a living thing, the weather radar color changed from yellow to red suddenly and we were caught up in heavy turbulence. The Flight Directors, in tryin to keep the altitude showed a steep up pitch but the speed started to drop. I was gaining too much altitude at the expense of speed. I needed to disconnect the autopilot and pitch down to regain speed with the least amount of altitude lost. We dropped 150ft. I filed a company report and was cleared by the company.
Do you have any question for us?
I am curious as to when the Boeing 747 Max’s will start coming in and have you started training for pilots to fly these planes

Meeting people as I am a people person. I love learning about new cultures and new environments and adapt to them
What don’t you like most about your work?
That it takes me away from my family for certain periods
Have you ever failed a company check?
Yes, over 10 years ago. On February 2014, I failed a proficiency check in my first company.
I was a First Officer for Cebu Pacific, a Philippine airline. I accidentally rejected a take off after v1. Though the aircraft stopped in the runway, I realized my mistake and accepted my failure. I attribute the mistake to my lack of Situational Awareness and CRM skills.
Since then, I have not failed any check ride, I have worked on and improved on my Situational Awareness and CRM skills.
Tell me about your most recent incident?
I have no reported incidents
Why are you leaving your current airline?
I enjoy working for Vietjet. The company has been good to me and the Vietnamese people are friendly people. The food is great. But as an expat in Vietnam, we are offered 2 year contracts, renewable. There is no stability for me. I am looking to join an airline for a long time. Looking for stability
