A

Type of Radiation called electromagnetic waves. X-ray imaging creates pictures of the inside of your body.The most familiar use is checking for broken bones, but it is also used in other ways. For example mammograms use x-rays to look for breast cancer.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging- Uses a large magnet and radio waves to look at organs and structures inside your body.Health Profs use MRI Scans to diagnose a variety of conditions, from torn ligaments to tumors. MRIs are very useful for examining the brain and spinal cord.During scan, you lie on table that slides inside a tunnel-shaped machine.

A

Computed tomography, more commonly known as a CT or CAT scan .Diagnostic medical test that, like traditional x-rays, produces multiple images or pictures of the inside of the body. The cross-sectional images generated during a CT scan can be reformatted in multiple planes, and can even generate three-dimensional images. These images can be viewed on a computer monitor, printed on film or transferred to a CD or DVD.CT images of internal organs, bones, soft tissue and blood vessels typically provide greater detail than traditional x-raysW CT radiologists can more easily diagnose problems such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, appendicitis, trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.

However, OIG Special Agents have special skills in investigating white collar crime related to Medicare & Medicaid Fraud & Abuse.
