Should you read the instructions?

Generally, no. The instructions should be the same as they were in your practice tests - don’t waste your time.

If you don’t know, just mark an answer and move on. Mark down this question number for later if you finish early and have time to come back. Remember, every question is worth the same amount of points, you don’t get bonus points for going in order.

Once you think you know the answer, what should you do?

circle your answer on the test, fill in the matching bubble on the answer sheet, and quickly check that these two match up

What should you do in the break between the different exam parts?

Get your blood pumping - maybe do jumping jacks or go up and down a nearby staircase, all of the sitting can make you drowsy, also you want fresh oxygenated blood to keep your brain cells working at maximum speed
Also consider bringing a snack to keep yourself fueled (believe it or not your brain burns more calories when you think harder) and peppermints to keep you alert

If you have taken over a minute to answer a question and you haven’t been through all of the questions once, you should take your best guess and move on. You don’t need to be timing yourself, but take notice if a problem is taking a long time.
